frequently asked questions

  • We are grateful for your presence at our wedding. Invitations with a plus-one will have the guest’s name listed on the invitation. Thank you for understanding.

  • Yes. While the Stockyards are family-friendly, we kindly ask that you make arrangements for childcare during the ceremony and reception.

  • Western Formal is exactly what it sounds like—a celebration of elegance with a nod to the West. Think classic silhouettes, polished fabrics, and personality through boots, hats, embroidery, or fringe.

    For Women:

We recommend long or midi dresses (solid, printed, or textured) styled with cowboy boots or booties. Because the evening will take place outdoors—on grass, gravel, and pasture—we strongly advise against heels or open-toed shoes.
Statement accessories, wide-brim hats, bold colors, and Western touches are welcomed and encouraged.

    For Men:

Suits or tuxedos are perfectly appropriate—but feel free to skip the tie in favor of a bolo, or swap dress shoes for well-shined cowboy boots. A Western sport coat or subtle plaid shirt under a blazer is also on theme.
    Think sharp, not stiff.

  • The ceremony and reception will take place at the bride’s family home and property in Aubrey, Texas. Once you arrive, you won’t need transportation again until the end of the evening.

Valet parking will be provided for guests who choose to drive to the venue.

Complimentary shuttles will depart from Hotel Drover promptly at 4:30 PM to transport guests to the wedding. We kindly request that you arrive a few minutes early to ensure a timely departure. Return shuttles will be available at the conclusion of the evening to bring guests back to Hotel Drover.

Given the festivities, we strongly encourage guests staying in Fort Worth to utilize the provided shuttles for their convenience and safety.

  • Yes—valet parking will be available for guests who choose to drive.

  • October in North Texas is usually mild and beautiful, with highs in the 70s and cooler evenings. The entire wedding will take place outdoors, so please dress accordingly and bring a wrap or jacket if needed.

  • Yes! Longhorns, horses, and other animals will be present for a portion of the evening.

While you're not required to interact with them, they’ll be in the vicinity. Please note that hay and other farm elements will also be present—if you have allergies, we suggest taking precautions in advance.

  • We recommend flying into DFW Airport (Dallas/Fort Worth International) or DAL (Dallas Love Field). More travel and lodging info can be found on our Travel & Stay page.

  • We recommend staying in the Fort Worth Stockyards, where we’ve secured a hotel block at Hotel Drover, and listed additional nearby options.
